This temporary trail closure location provides a safe place to observe the 2025 Stream Restoration Project. Changes to water elevations are expected to coincide with construction upstream in addition to precipitation quantities.
The County of Albemarle Facilities & Environmental Services Department (FES) is responsible for maintaining and improving County-owned buildings, grounds, and infrastructure. This includes managing the planning, design, and construction of all major Capital Improvement Projects.
FES also manages the County’s operations to prevent pollution, ensure compliance with state and federal environmental laws and regulations, and assist residents to minimize waste in the county.
Many of these projects are done in cooperation with the Albemarle Parks & Recreation Department (ACPR). ACPR is responsible for the operation and managment of all County owned parks and is dedicated to providing a unique system of parks, trails, and recreational experiences, while being superior stewards of the environment.
