About this site
On the edge of Walkersville a quaint little park resides just off of HWY 15. There is a Nature Center, a playground, and short trails to explore. One prominent feature is the deck that wraps around two sides of our historic Lime Kiln and Quarry. Standing on the deck is a great view of the water, surrounding rock ledge and local wildlife. We are monitoring how this environment will change over time.

Fountain Rock Park is Frederick's first environmental park on 22.5 acres of historical, ecological and family-friendly land. Fountain Rock is listed with the Maryland Historical Trust.
