The marshland and marsh edge habitats within this area are protected by the Kiawah Conservancy in perpetuity via conservation easement. The marshland and edge vegetation change over time due to seasonal responses and impacts from tidal inundation. This Chronolog station will help us track the seasonal and environmental changes within this area to better understand marshlands. It is located on western facing wooden railing along boardwalk.
