L. John & Helen Bishop & the Little Pigeon River

The Little Pigeon River cooridor within the L. John & Helen Bishop Forest Reserve has been infested with reed canarygrass, a grass that outcomptes other native species and decreases habitat quality. It is notoriously difficult to control. We are following suggested best practices and tips to experiment with restoration.  At the end of the day, the beavers may have the most say!
