Mill Race Preserve Prairie

Mill Race Preserve became part of the MetroPark system in 2013 but restoration work didn’t begin until early 2018 at the conclusion of an existing farming lease.  In the south field, 27-acres of former agriculture field were seeded with 9 native grasses and the 6-acre field on the north end of the property was seeded with a diverse prairie mix consisting of 84 different forbs and 7 native grasses.  Help document the constant change and evolution of the 6-acre prairie as it grows and changes over time.  Mill Race Preserve Website
