The City of Mentor Natural Resources Division will be documenting long term habitat changes within this restored floodplain. Before restoration in 2019-2020, this floodplain consisted of a channelized waterway that ran from Heisley Road to near where this sign is. The successional progression of this habitat will be monitored via this citizen science project.
