Heart Mountain is an unusual geological feature in the middle of a vast sagebrush valley. Buck Creek is an important waterway for wildlife and livestock on the mountain. The small stream supports songbirds, elk, wildflowers, and the occasional grizzly bear throughout the year. More than 2000 hikers also visit the mountain during our open seasons. Help us monitor the seasonal changes of the stream, and the wildlife who use it.
Chronolog is a monitoring tool for parks, nature centers, wildlife organizations, schools, and museums worldwide. With over 100,000 contributors across 300 organizations, Chronolog is on a mission to engage communities with nature while recording important natural changes.
