Nine Mile Run -- Streamside Bench

Help us monitor the Nine Mile Run (NMR) stream and its surrounding ecosystem! This reach of NMR, called "The Big Bend" was reconfigured as part of the NMR Aquatic Ecosystem Restoration Project completed in 2007 by the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers. Here, you can see where the new channel (the stream channel nearest the bench) has been diverted and is now migrating back to its original channel (the small channel that splits away and flows away from the bench).
