This chronolog sits in the Hilton Ravine, a designated green space in Newport News, Virginia.
The objective is to help monitor storm water runoff that feeds into the James River, as well as changing wildlife and vegetation patterns over the seasons.
This project is a collaboration between the Newport News Green Foundation (NNGF), Newport News Parks and Recreation (NNPR), and the National Science Foundation (NSF).
About Newport News Green Foundation
The Newport News Green Foundation was founded in 1998 to help preserve and transform green space for the good of the community and environment in Newport News, VA. It currently manages 26 different properties and almost 60 acres of green space in the city.
