Tipp City Off-Channel Wetland

This project restored off channel habitat along the Great Miami River near the confluence of Honey Creek in Tipp City, Ohio. The area includes restored wetlands, a basin that is approximately 9.5 acres, and connections to the river made after the basin was revegetated. Off-channel wetlands like this provide nutrient-reduction benefits to the nearby river as well as reducing peak streamflow during runoff events.
