The Beaufort County Land Preservation Department, previously known as the Passive Parks Department, manages and operates over 14,000 acres of property, including pocket parks, nature preserves, historic sites, an interpretive center and event facilities. The Department wants to improve the quality of life in Beaufort County by offering accessible nature-based passive recreation and environmental education opportunities for the residents and visitors of Beaufort County.
Chronolog is a monitoring tool for parks, nature centers, wildlife organizations, schools, and museums worldwide. With over 100,000 contributors across 300 organizations, Chronolog is on a mission to engage communities with nature while recording important natural changes.
