The Town of Fort Mill Stormwater Department is dedicated to maintain and improve the Fort Mill’s waterways from pollution by mitigating the effects of urban development.

This section of the walking trail in Fort Mill is home to some "invasive invaders".  Can you spot them?  This area is also going to be undergoing creek restoration in the coming years.  Follow along with us to see the progress!

Kudzu Crossing Fort Mill

This section of the tributary to Dye Branch Creek underwent creekside stabilization by a group of volunteers in early 2025.  Native plants and grasses were installed to help slow down erosion of the banks.  The naturalized area helps support native pollinators, birds and other wildlife.
