Oxley Nature Center is an 804 acre wildlife sanctuary  located within Mohawk Park and managed by the City of Tulsa Department of Parks, Culture, and Recreation. Nine miles of trails traverse prairie, forest, and wetland ecosystems.

Situated at one of the bird blinds on Blue Heron Trail, this station will monitor the changes on Lake Sherry. As water levels rise we expect to see a dying off of the vegetation, a reemergence of the islands,  and an increase in variety and number of species.

Blackbird Marsh hosts various species of waterfowl, aquatic mammals, amphibians, reptiles, reeds, rushes, and other shallow-water organisms. With the aim of improving habitat and increasing biodiversity, a project is in the works to install native plantings, mitigate invasives, and gain control over water levels. This station will capture these changes over time.

This chronolog station captures the view from the front deck of the Interpretive Center. We will be able to capture the changing of the seasons among the native grasses and the giant cottonwoods, along with the wildflower blooms, changes in the water on BJ's Pond, and the changes in the sky. Possible wildlife sitings include various birds, deer, and coyotes.
