Reinstein Woods is owned and operated by the NYS Department of Environmental Conservation in partnership with Friends of Reinstein Woods.  Visit Reinstein Woods' Woodland Garden to experience native forest plants in a tranquil setting.

Reinstein Woods Nature Preserve

Looking north through the forest, you will help document changes as more native species are able to thrive within the Woodland Garden fence.  This chronolog is a partnership between Friends of Reinstein Woods and the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation, with funding from Parks & Trails NY's Park & Trail Partner Grant Program.

Looking west toward Hidden Pond, you can see native trees like eastern hemlock and pawpaw planted within the Woodland Garden.
