You’re looking at Safety Town, an amenity provided by the Town of Normal to educate young children about bicycle safety and roadways. In 2024, the Town began improving and expanding this educational amenity. Help our Parks & Recreation team document how this educational site is used throughout the year. Historic US Route 66 celebrates its centennial in 2026. This road has been welcoming road-trippers for decades. Snap your pic with this giant Town of Normal sign and help us showcase all the experiences happening along the “Mother Road.”

You're looking at the Town of Normal’s first-ever disc golf course, re-designed in 2023 with the natural habitat in mind. The Town is working to preserve this natural habitat for birds, butterflies and other pollinators. Help us capture the changing seasons, and maybe even golfers enjoying the course!

Maxwell Disc Golf Course at Skunk Island

The Town of Normal is creating a natural restoration and water feature along the most used portion of the Constitution Trail. Capture this new feature as it's built, change of seasons, birds in their natural habitat and more! This project is made possible by State Farm Century of Good grant.

In 2024, the Town of Normal built the chipping green to improve golfing experiences at Ironwood. Capture golfers as they practice their way to perfection.

In 2024, the Town of Normal broke ground on Fire Station #2 to improve fire and emergency services to residents in northeast Normal. Trail users capture construction as it unfolds. Once complete, user photos will document natural areas as they grow and mature.
