Our Mission: To build reciprocal relationships to land through conservation, recreation, and education.
Our Purpose: To maintain, support and enhance the working landscape of farms and forest and such valued natural resources as lakes, rivers, streams, wetlands, historic sites, scenic places and wildlife habitat, in the inland municipalities of York County, Maine, by acquiring property in fee and conservation easements, and by engaging community support.
Our three rivers are the Little Ossipee, the Salmon Falls, and the upper Mousam River. Our service area envelops Acton, Alfred, Lebanon, Shapleigh and Sanford/Springvale. We work together with other conservation groups and towns to help spread our message. Conservation does not mean keeping people out, it means bringing people in – please join us.
Three Rivers Land Trust is part of the Momentum Conservation's Climate Change Observatory Network , a photo monitoring program designed to work with environ mental organizations and communities to assist with the observation, measurement and documentation of long-term climate change trends, and climate adaptation projects.
