This Chronolog project is a collaborative effort among community members, research scientists, and land-use planners to better understand temporal and spatial stream drying patterns in Dry Creek. Photographs of Dry Creek will be paired with climatological data (air temperature, snowpack, rainfall) from Boise State University's Dry Creek Experimental Watershed to help scientists better predict the impacts of a changing climate on streamflow. Shifts in streamflow will affect water quality which in turn affects the creek's ability to support redband trout, the only species of fish that lives in Dry Creek.
If you would like to contribute to our research on Dry Creek redband trout please visit Anecdata Redband Trout Project to learn more. Once you join our project and download the Anecdata app (free!) you can help us monitor the distribution of redband trout in Dry Creek. Be sure to open up our project on the app while you have cell phone service (i.e., before you begin your visit to Dry Creek).
Thank you for supporting our research!
