About this site

Grand Park is made up of several areas of Blackland Prairie remnants filled with beautiful wildflowers, forests, vernal pools, and riparian areas along Stewart Creek. Seasonal changes shine a light on the various ecosystems.

The Chronolog station is at the entrance to the wildflower loop along Big Bluestem Trail where visitors can see a rainbow of colors that change throughout the year. Spring and Summer help showcase native plants and grasses while Fall's cooler temperatures lead to vibrant orange and green forests to admire.

About Grand Park

The opening of Big Bluestem Trail at Grand Park in November 2022 marked the next chapter of this highly anticipated city park as it continues to be developed.
