About this site

This view of a creek shows the progression of local riparian flora. We are monitoring the plants that live between the water and the land. This site is also monitoring the change in water flow of a small tributary that will feed into the North Branch Rock Creek.

About Meadowside Nature Center

Meadowside Nature Center is located within the 1800-acre Rock Creek Regional Park. It opened February 19, 1972, as the second nature center operated by the Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission, Montgomery County Department of Parks. The nature center offers outdoor and environmental education programming for families, schools, and scouts.
