Old Woman Creek is a State Nature Preserve and National Estuarine Research Reserve, whose mission is to cultivate knowledge and actions that benefit Great Lakes coastal ecosystems, some of the world’s most valuable resources. The Reserve is a partnership between the Ohio Department of Natural Resources and National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. Aside from promoting coastal and inland access to visitors, the Reserve strives to positively impact communities and provide solutions to Lake Erie coastal issues through research, stewardship, education, and outreach.
