Thank you for submitting your image to this photo station to track coastal changes at our Bodega Head Marine Protected Area (MPA)!
A statewide network of MPAs safeguard California's rich coastal resources. The Bodega Head MPAs include kelp forests, offshore pinnacles, rocky reefs and tidepools. California’s MPAs have varying levels of protection to conserve marine habitats and diversity. You are looking out at Bodega Head State Marine Reserve (SMR) where take of all living marine resources is prohibited. California’s MPAs allow marine life to thrive and make great places for education, research and fun.
