KEEP & Signs of Nature-Driscoll School, Brookline

You can find this Chronolog at the entrance to the Nature Sanctuary and Fountain at the new Driscoll School in Brookline, MA.  There is another Chronolog to document what is happening at a different Driscoll School entrance. 

In 2024, our 113 year old Driscoll School building was torn down along with scores of mature trees and plantings.. The KEEP Club could not protect them, but we realized that we now have a rare opportunity to learn from and document what happens to our ecosystem with a plethora of new plantings. We received a Brookline Rotary Club grant and  worked closely with our Parks and Open Spaces to launch this project. 

We are excited to collectively notice, teach others, and care for what surrounds us.  Our mission is simple and can be found in the 4th stanza of the poem 'Sometimes' by Mary Oliver: Instructions for living a life: Pay attention. Be astonished. Tell about it.*
