The Superior Rivers Watershed Association (funded by the US Fish and Wildlife Service Coastal Program) and dozens of local partners including the City of Ashland Parks and Recreation Department, GLIFWC, Ducks Unlimited, Mashkiiziibii Natural Resources Department, the Lake Superior Estuarine Research Reserve, Wisconsin DNR, and more is conducting a three year project to remove invasive cattail from 13 acres in the Fish Creek Slough and reseed with native plants, including manoomin (wild rice). Founded in 2002 as the Bad River Watershed Association and recently expanded to include the entire Chequamegon Bay Region, the Superior Rivers Watershed Association is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization based in Ashland, Wisconsin which engages watershed citizens as stewards of our clean water resources.

Chronolog is a monitoring tool for parks, nature centers, wildlife organizations, schools, and museums worldwide. With over 100,000 contributors across 300 organizations, Chronolog is on a mission to engage communities with nature while recording important natural changes.
