About this site

This chronolog site is located in Pritchard Park behind Chapel Hill Public Library, just off a paved trail. It overlooks a hillside sensory-friendly native plant garden, as well as the library, trees, and bird feeders. The garden was designed to engage the senses and was planted as part of a library-wide Neurodiversity and Nature initiative with guidance from the North Carolina Botanical Garden. Submitting a picture to this chronolog will let us view the growth and change of the garden throughout the seasons.

About Chapel Hill Public Library

The 63,000-square-foot library includes a computer lab, a large sunlit reading room, youth services, meeting rooms, study spaces, and more. The library is a department of the Town of Chapel Hill, serving the residents of Chapel Hill and the Orange County community.

The library is located in Pritchard Park, 34 acres of rolling woodland in the middle of Chapel Hill.

“Explore More at Pritchard Park” is a collaboration between Chapel Hill Public Library and Chapel Hill Parks and Recreation in an effort to bring environmental education and STEAM programs to Pritchard Park.
