A former golf course is being restored to a natural landscape and this former fairway is being planted with native trees, shurbs, grasses, and forbs, though some species are native to further south in Michigan (not here) and are planted here as a habitat resiliency/adaptation strategy.
Our mission is to protect the natural diversity and beauty of northern Michigan by preserving significant land and scenic areas, and fostering appreciation and understanding of the environment.
Chronolog is a monitoring tool for parks, nature centers, wildlife organizations, schools, and museums worldwide. With over 60,000 contributors across 200 organizations, Chronolog is on a mission to engage communities with nature while recording important natural changes.
