About this site
Piedmont is a rolled earth-fill dam that was built in 1937 and is mainly used for flood control efforts. The Corps property has a pollinator plot that is apart of two initatives: converting mowed lawn to pollinator plots and establishing areas as Monarch Waystations. The dam is managed by USACE and the lake is managed by MWCD.
