About this site

In May 2024, Beaver Works Oregon led a volunteer planting of over 1,000 willow cuttings along the Upper Deschutes River here in LaPine State Park. These willows will initially be fenced to allow them to get established. After 3-5 years, the fence will be removed, allowing beavers to utilize the riparian shrubs as food and building material.
