The Squam Lakes Association is dedicated to conserving for public benefit the natural beauty, peaceful character, and resources of the watershed. In collaboration with local and state partners the SLA promotes the protection, careful use, and shared enjoyment of the lakes, mountains, forests, open spaces, and wildlife of the Squam Lakes region.

This Chronolog, located at the summit of West Rattlesnake (1,214 ft elv.) in Holderness, NH, will help to capture information about ice in, ice out, foliage peak and drop, our recreational lake use, weather, and any air quality concerns. About one third of the Rattlesnakes is located on the Armstrong Natural Area which is owned by The University of New Hampshire (https://www.unh.edu/) (UNH) and with trails managed by the Squam Lakes Association (https://squamlakes.org/) (SLA).

Squam Lakes Association (SLA) & New England Forestry Foundation (NEFF) 

This Choronlog  will help us to understand changes to this wetland area and its vegetation over time. Located at the Swamp Walk trail in Chamberlain-Reynolds Memorial Forest in Center Harbor, NH located off of College Road.  This 169-acre forest is owned by NEFF and has approximately 5 miles of trails managed by the SLA. We are monitoring this area because wetlands serve as a habitat to many species in the  Squam Watershed, and are sensitive to any drastic changes to water quality. 

Chamberlain-Reynolds Memorial Forest

This Chronolog station is capturing changes to the Squam Lakes Association (SLA) (https://squamlakes.org/) campus located in Holderness, NH while we work to make our campus ADA friendly. We are monitoring our pollinator garden, rain garden, waters edge, docks, and the hussle and bussle at our public boat launch. This location will track any changes to Piper Cove over time and help us monitor our land use.
