In 2023, Broward County Parks and Recreation Division began restoration efforts to remove invasive plant species from Deerfield Island Park that threaten the island's ecological balance, including Australian pine trees and Brazilian peppers. Photos submitted from this Chronolog station help document the recovery of native species and impact of the restoration efforts over time.
