Meadow View trail overlooks the confluence of Hines and Riley creek and on a clear blue day, one can see the northwestern faces of the Alaska Range, including 12,339 ft (3,761 m) tall Mt. Deborah. The surrounding vegetation consists of wetlands and mixed spruce and deciduous forest. This site offers a grand view for potential forest change as spruce bark beetle continues to impact Denali’s Forest. Your participation in capturing images here will help us establish an ongoing Timelapse of spruce forest response to beetle infestation.
