The Tsenesdghaas Na’ trail meanders through a mixed spruce forest that overlooks the glacial-fed Nenana River. Visitors enjoy the sounds of woodpeckers, chickadees, and red squirrels and can even spot moose, bald eagles, and more. Along the trail, visitors will be able to identify spruce beetle affected trees by their needle color change and/or lack of needles and reddish chunky sap. Your participation in capturing images here will help us establish an ongoing Timelapse of spruce forest response to beetle infestation.
