About this site

This overlook features an oxbow of Chakchiuma Swamp including one of the largest bald cypress trees at Lee Tartt Nature Preserve. The water level and vegetation of this old river meander changes throughout the seaons.

Take pictures with your phone to capture the pattterns and processes of this alluvial floodplain.
