This 31 acre project includes both wetland creation and forest restoration. The implemented practices will naturally capture phosphorus-laden runoff to reduce the amount of nutrients entering agricultural ditches and slow flow into nearby waterways. Tree species to be planted include white oak, red oak, black oak, black cherry, black walnut, hickory, and, if available, American chestnut and butternut.
