This section of the Nature Center was previously an agricultural field. In 2023, work began to convert the field from agricultural use to wildlife habitat. In January 2024, a series of shallow wetlands were created to store surface water runoff to improve water quality in the stream in the adjacent woodlot. The field and wetland habitat will provide resources to existing and future wildlife populations at the Nature Center.
162-acre property owned by the University of Mount Union. Serves as a field station for academic and research activities for the University and an environmental education center for the public. Several miles of trails are open dawn to dusk daily. Visitors Center hours vary seasonally but are generally 9am-4pm Tuesday through Friday, and 1-5pm on weekends.
