Soundside Loop Trail

The Soundside Loop Trail is located in the Cape Lookout National Seashore. You can see the remanants of a coastal forested wetland, aka a ghost forest. You can see snags (standing dead trees) and the shoreline. Behind the snags you can see a little bit of marsh vegetation (grasses) trying to get established. We are monitoring this area for the snags and the marsh vegetation.
