The proposed wetland restoration area is in Cleveland Metroparks North Chagrin Reservation in Mayfield Village, Cuyahoga County, Ohio. Four acres of wetland were restored and 40 acres of wetland were protected. These wetlands maintain quality habitat for unique flora such as speckled alder, swamp candles, and American lotus and amphibian species such as the spotted and red backed salamander, spring peeper, and the wood frog. Adjacent wet forests are home to the rare fairy sparkler mushroom, which is has only been identified twice in the State of Ohio.
